te rasānu-rasato rasa-bhedās tāratamya-parikalpanayā ca |
saṃbhavanti gaṇanāṃ samatītā doṣa-bheṣaja-vaśād upayojyāḥ || 44 ||
These varieties of taste, by primary and secondary taste and by calculations of varying degree, / become beyond calculation; they should be applied according to the humour and the medicine.
