Aṣṭāṅgahṛdayasaṃhitā 7

vikṛtā-vikṛtā dehaṃ ghnanti te vartayanti ca |
te vyāpino 'pi hṛn-nābhyor adho-madhyordhva-saṃśrayāḥ || 7 ||
Vitiated and unvitiated, they destroy and maintain the body.
Although pervasive, they reside below, in the middle, and above the heart and navel. || 7
