kurvate hi ruciṃ doṣā viparīta-samānayoḥ |
vṛddhāḥ kṣīṇāś ca bhūyiṣṭhaṃ lakṣayanty a-budhās tu na || 43 ||

For the humours produce a desire for what is contrary or similar [to them] / when increased and decreased, for the most part; but the unwise do not notice it.
