Aṣṭāṅgahṛdayasaṃhitā 7597

dahec ca jāmbavauṣṭhādyair na tu pittottaraṃ dahet |
karkaśaṃ bhinna-romāṇaṃ marma-saṃdhy-ādi-saṃśritam || 67 ||
And one should cauterize it with the jambu-lip cautery and the like, but one should not cauterize when bile predominates, / nor [a bite that is] rough, with broken hairs, or located on a vital spot, joint, and the like. || 67
