ārdra-saṃtāna-tā tyāgaḥ kāya-vāk-cetasāṃ damaḥ |
svārtha-buddhiḥ parārtheṣu paryāptam iti sad-vratam || 46 ||

Compassion, charity, restraint of body, speech, and mind, / and regarding others' interests as one's own—this is sufficient to constitute the vow of the virtuous.
