Having made Agniveśa, Hārīta, Bheḍa, Māṇḍavya, Suśruta, / Karāla, and others their disciples, they respectfully instructed them.
Just as [cooking cannot take place] on a fire covered with ashes, so food is not digested when [the digestive fire is covered] with raw residue.
Or butter produced from that milk, prepared with a decoction of the group of six [drugs] beginning with fruit, when the digestive fire is overpowered by kapha and when the body is wasting away.
Likewise, through the purification of the chest and throat, lightness and desire [for food] arise for him.
