doṣopanaddhaṃ yadi līnamannaṃ pittolbaṇarayāvṛṇuyānna vahnim |

jāyeta duṣṭā tu tato budhukṣā yā mandabuddhīn viṣavannihanti ||

santrāsaścoṣṇatāṅge ca yasya taṃ parivarjayet ||

tūnī pratūnī tu bhavetsa evāto viparyaye ||

If food bound up with the doṣas and latent does not obstruct the fire with excessive pitta, / an abnormal ravenous hunger then arises, which kills the dull-witted like poison. // One in whom there is agitation and heat in the body should be avoided. // But when the opposite occurs, it is tūnī and pratītūnī.
