tiktāmṛtā tridoṣaghnī grāhiṇyuṣṇā rasāyanī |

dīpanī jvaratṛḍdāhakāmalāvātaraktanut ||

Amṛtā is bitter, destroys all three doṣas, is astringent, hot, and a rejuvenating tonic;
it stimulates digestion, and removes fever, thirst, burning sensation, jaundice, and gout.
