balātrayaṃ svādu vṛṣyaṃ snigdhaṃ śītaṃ balapradam |
tatra nāgabalā balyā kṣatakṣīṇahitā guruḥ ||
The triad of balā is sweet, aphrodisiac, unctuous, cold, and strength-giving.
Among them, nāgabalā promotes strength, is wholesome for the wasted from chest-injury, and is heavy.
