That which is of mixed nature moves in both directions.
And for overcoming the residue of doṣas, one should practice [taking] cavikā and dried ginger ground with milk,
or Himalayan cedar and citraka, or suraṅgā, or punarnavā, or a decoction of triphalā, dantī, and rauhītaka combined with the three pungents and alkali, mixed with snuhī milk and ghee.
On the seventh day, however, one should unbind it completely,
or on the tenth.
And one should feed him a fluid, slightly unctuous, and slightly salted porridge or rice gruel accompanied by hot water, combined with the three pungents and āmalaka.
For one who acts thus, pain, redness, and the like do not persist.
