Ashtangasamgraha 17.37

17.37

guṇā dravyeṣu ye coktāsta eva tanudoṣayoḥ |

sthitivṛddhikṣayāstasmātteṣāṃ hi dravyahetukāḥ ||

punaḥpunaśca rudhiramavasecayet |

yakṛdākhye 'pyayameva kriyāvibhāgaḥ ||

And the qualities that are stated in substances are the very same in the bodily tissues and doṣas;
therefore, the maintenance, increase, and decrease of those are indeed caused by substances.

And he should repeatedly draw blood;

this very same division of treatment applies to what is called the liver as well.
