Dantī, though identical to citraka in taste and the rest, is purgative; / raisin [acts similarly] to madhuka, and clarified butter kindles the digestive fire, unlike milk. / For those suffering from heaviness, anorexia, abdominal distension, weak digestive fire, and diarrhea, / and afflicted with vāta and kapha, buttermilk serves as nectar.
