2.130

yathāsvaṃ ca sirāṃ vidhyedaśāntau viṣamajvare ||

rudate trasyate vāpi lehaṃ dadyāt sukhāvaham ||

And in an unallayed intermittent fever, one should pierce the vein according to the [affected] site; / to one who cries or is frightened, one should give an agreeable lickable remedy.
