In spirit possession and the like, aggravation is of sannipāta; in fear and the like, of the wind; in the group of three, of pitta in anger; / the two [fevers] that arise from curses and sorcery / are sannipāta fevers, dreadful and considered most unbearable. / Or by drinking milk warm from the udder, one who has obstructed flatus and feces, / suffering from dysentery with bloody, slimy evacuations, thirst, and colicky pain, [is cured]. / Having dried and powdered [the ingredients], one should then filter two parts; / one should give it to drink along with sugar, or the powder made from devadāru.
