In one seized by burning sensation and fainting, fever increases day by day. / Thus fever is seen to be eightfold; but in brief it is twofold: / And milk cooked with the heartwood of śiṃśipā rapidly removes fever. / With whey, urine, the scum of wine, and the fruit-water of kola and dhātrī; / one who has thirst should drink gavādanī and pomegranate with lukewarm water.
