In a bodily [fever], heat is first in the body; in a mental [fever], in the mind; / wind, because of its capability of carrying properties, becomes cold when accompanied by śleṣman. / A purgative removes even the three impurities; an enema removes those situated in the colon. / With a decoction of tilvaka and its paste, an electuary prepared with sugar / and ghee is an excellent purgative; / an excellent suppository weighing a hundred [units] is made of long pepper grains, mung beans, buds of sumanā, barley, / and blue water lily leaves.
