sadyaḥ kṣīṇo yataḥ sadyo bṛṃhaṇenopacīyate |
ciraṃ krameṇa ca kṣīṇastadabhyāsena tatra ca ||
rasāyanavidhānena laghuno hanti śīlitaḥ ||
Because one who is freshly emaciated is quickly nourished by a nourishing therapy, / while one emaciated over a long time and gradually [recovers] by its habitual use, / and used in the manner of a rasāyana, when light, it destroys [ailments].
