ṣaṭ pañca bastyantāratāḥ yogoṣṭau bastayo 'tra tu |
trayo nirūhāḥ snehāśca snehāvādyantayorumau ||
lohapātre tataḥ pūtaṃ mahānīlaṃ prayojitam ||
Six [non-unctuous enemas] and five unctuous enemas intervening. Yoga-basti consists of eight enemas here:
three evacuating enemas and [three] unctuous enemas, with two unctuous enemas at the beginning and the end.
Then filtered into an iron vessel, the Mahānīla oil is applied.
