28.73

strīṇāmārtavakāle tu yonirgṛhṇātyapāvṛteḥ |

vidadhīta tadā tasmādanṛtāvapi cātyaye ||

mṛṇālabisakharjūrayaṣṭīmadhukajīvakaiḥ ||

In women, however, at the time of menstruation, the vagina receives [the douche] because it is open;
therefore, one should administer it then, and also at non-menstrual periods in an emergency;
with lotus stalk, lotus rhizome, dates, yaṣṭīmadhu, and jīvaka;
