Tubular instruments (nāḍī-yantras) are hollow, of manifold types, of manifold uses, and have an opening on both ends or an opening on one end. / They are for viewing a foreign body situated in a channel, for extracting it, for facilitating an operation, and for suction. / One should make them with a circumference corresponding to the orifice of the channel and of a length suited to the application. / By means of vāyu, it produces a granthi that is extremely unctuous, soft, and mobile.
