pūrvakalpena dhūmo 'yaṃ sānupāno vidhīyate |
kārpāsāsthyaśvagandhā ca dhūmaḥ kāsavināśanaḥ |
kośātakīphalānmadhyaiḥ pibedvā samanaḥśilaiḥ ||
medicinal smoke is prescribed by the previous procedure, along with an after-drink. / Cotton seed and aśvagandhā [form a] smoke that destroys cough; / or one should inhale [the smoke of] the inner pulp of kośātakī fruit together with realgar.
