mantratantrabalānnāpi prasahya vinivartanam |
upahāranamaskārajapaśāntiparāyaṇaḥ |
kaścijjīvati tairdaṣṭo virūpo vikalo 'pi vā ||
nor can they be forcefully turned back by the power of mantras and rites.
Devoted to offerings, obeisances, incantations, and pacification,
someone bitten by them may survive, though disfigured or disabled.
