āsādhyānāmapi hitaṃ pratyākhyāyāśu yojayet |
doṣocchrāyaviśeṣeṇa chedadāhādivarjitam ||
Even for the incurable ones, having given a grave prognosis, one should quickly apply beneficial [treatment] / according to the particular aggravation of the doṣas, avoiding incision, cauterisation, and the like.
