aviśuddhe śarīre hi yukto rāsāyano vidhiḥ |
na bhāti malasaṃsṛṣṭe vastre rāga ivārpitaḥ ||
For when a rejuvenation procedure is applied to an unpurified body, / it does not shine forth, like dye applied to a cloth stained with dirt.
