Knowing the proper time, [the physician should administer] proven rejuvenating recipes and aphrodisiacs;
When [the patient] is reduced by medication, tonic food should be given gradually in a suitable manner.
[The vomit is] accompanied by sound and eructation, black, clear, [passed] with difficulty and with force.
It relieves cough, hiccups, fever, dyspnea, burning sensation, thirst, and bleeding disorder;
It grants sons and removes vomiting, fainting, and disorders of the heart, female genital tract, and urinary tract.
Dates, palmyra pulp, ātmaguptā, āmalakī, pippalī.
Homage to the Staff of Yama, svāhā!
To the one whose mount is a buffalo, svāhā!
To the lord of pretas, svāhā!
To the lord of dharma, svāhā!
To Vaijayanta, svāhā!
