yathā pratijñātamiti krameṇa vedoyamaṣṭāṅganidhernibaddhaḥ |

abhyasyato mārgamivāryasatyaṃ sañjāyate svārthaparārthasiddhiḥ ||

Thus, in accordance with the promise, this knowledge of the treasure of the eight branches has been composed in sequence; / for one practicing it, like the Noble Truths, the attainment of one's own goals and the goals of others comes to pass.
