kaphe laṅghanasādhye 'pi kartari jvaragulmayoḥ |
tulye 'pi deśakālādau laṅghanaṃ na samaṃ matam ||
Even when kapha is the agent in fever and abdominal swelling, which are curable by fasting, / fasting is not considered identical, even if region, season, and the rest are equal.
