diśānayā deśamapi svayamūheta buddhimān |
na śāstramātraśaraṇo na cānālocitāgamaḥ ||
By this direction, an intelligent person should deduce even the region for himself; / he should not rely solely on the treatise, nor should he fail to reflect upon traditional teaching.
