godhā niyachati viṣaṃ mūṣikaḥ śukravardhanaḥ |
śuṣkakāsaśramātyagniviṣamajvarapīnasān ||
abhīruyaṣṭīmadhukaṃ payasyā kattṛṇaṃ ghṛtam ||
The monitor lizard subdues poison; the rat increases semen;
[beef subdues] dry cough, fatigue, excessive digestive fire, irregular fever, catarrh,
Abhīru, licorice, payasyā, kattṛṇa, and ghee.
