9.72

vātādīnāṃ tu vikṛtirvikṛtādgrahacārataḥ |

bhaumāntarikṣadivyebhya utpātebhyaśca jāyate |

sambhavaḥ punareteṣāṃ karmaṇaḥ sāmudāyikāt ||

kulāṅganāpi yāṃ pītvā nayatyuddhatamānasā ||

The vitiation of vāta and the other doṣas arises from abnormal planetary movements / and from terrestrial, atmospheric, and celestial portents, / while the origin of these [portents] in turn stems from the collective deeds [of humanity].
