āyuṣkāmasya tatprāptistatheṣṭyā mitravindayā |

sarvasmādeva cātmānaṃ gopayedīdṛśī smṛtiḥ ||

api munijanacittakṣobhasampādanībhiścakitahariṇalolaprekṣaṇībhiḥ praiyābhiḥ ||

One who desires long life attains it likewise through the Mitravindā sacrifice; / and 'one should protect oneself from everything'—such is the traditional text. // accompanied by beloved women capable of agitating the minds of even sages, their tremulous glances like those of frightened deer,
