Moistened by oleation, whether situated in the trunk, in the bodily tissues, adhering to the bodily channels, or stationed in the extremities and bones,
those doṣas, liquefied by sudations and brought to the trunk, are thoroughly eliminated by the purifications.
In [conditions] born of pitta, when scarified and blood has flowed, one should perform rubbing, gargling, and nasal medication with sweet substances;
likewise in kapha-born ones, with sharp substances.
