The uttarabasti also is an unctuous substance like the anuvāsana; some say it is also a purifier like the nirūha; it is called uttarabasti because it is given after (uttaram) the nirūha, or by the upper (uttara) route. / And one should purge the body; / one should sprinkle and coat the head and face with very cold substances mixed with hundred-times-washed ghee.
