The minor instruments (aṇuśastra), however, are leeches, alkali, fire, sun-stone, glass, rock crystal, ruby, nails, rough leaves of the teak, night-flowering jasmine, and the like, cuttlefish bone, dry cow-dung, and so on.

One should also devise and prepare various blunt and sharp instruments and their operations by means of one's own intellect.

And the hand alone is the foremost of all here, because blunt and sharp instruments are subordinate to it.

At night, when discharge increases, one should abandon an all-inclusive form [of sinus fistula] caused by all [doṣas].
