Having firmly and evenly tied the limb above with a rope or cloth band, / one should perform scarification, avoiding ligaments, joints, bones, and vital spots. / And one should prepare a healing oil processed with rāsnā, sarala, uśīra, viḍaṅga, madhuka, and milk.
