First, one should drink a decoction of one bhallātaka with milk, and increase by one bhallātaka each day until five [are reached]. Then one should increase by fives until seventy. Having reached seventy, one should reduce them again by fives until five, and from five by ones until one. By this method, a thousand are used, and the rest is the same as before.
