6.31

Alone or with medicine, cooked or raw, hot—that is wholesome / when administered in proper measure after consideration; [it is] nectar, but otherwise poison.
Of the food just ingested, rolled down the esophageal tube and descended into the great cavity, whichever portion is touched by the bodily fire and brought to digestion, immediately after the production of each minute essence called 'clarified juice' (prasāda), it spreads equally throughout all the bodily tissues via closed and unclosed [pathways], enters more abundantly and first into the nearby bodily channels with open mouths, and successively into the others as well.
Thus, it is the food-juice alone that directly nourishes all the bodily tissues across certain divisions of time;
it is not that the bodily tissues turn into another bodily tissue by the destruction of their own form.
With loose feces, having a blue-yellow hue, with eyes reddish-yellow and agitated.
Pāṭhā, madhurasā, dāru, and sarala, kept overnight.
When the doṣas are slight, in a gentle bowel, or administered repeatedly.
May that god who was created in the form of a dog protect you!
