duṣṭe tvābharaṇe dāhaḥ svedaḥ kaṇḍūś ca jāyate | kurute gātravaivarṇyaṃ svayaṃ cābhāti niṣprabhaḥ ||
When an ornament is tainted, burning, sweating, and itching arise; / it causes discoloration of the limbs, and it appears lusterless on its own.
