sukhena pācayaty annaṃ rocayaty apakarṣati | anupānaṃ manuṣyāṇāṃsātmyatāṃ ca prayacchati || ity āha bhagavān ātreyaḥ | iti bhele saptaviṃśo ' dhyāyaḥ || || aṣṭāviṃśo ' dhyāyaḥ || athāto bhojanavidhīyaṃ vyākhyāsyāma iti ha smāha bhagavān ātreyaḥ |

It digests food with ease, stimulates appetite, extracts [waste], / and provides suitability to human beings. / Thus said the venerable Ātreya. / Thus ends the twenty-seventh chapter in Bheḷa. / Twenty-eighth chapter. / Now, therefore, we shall explain the rules of food—thus spoke the venerable Ātreya.
