ity etāni bhiṣag dṛṣṭvā lakṣaṇāni mumūrṣatām | na cikitsāṃ prayuñjītayaśomārgapratīkṣayā || ity āha bhagavān ātreyaḥ | iti bhele indriye pañcamo ' dhyāyaḥ || || ṣaṣṭho ' dhyāyaḥ || athātaḥ pūrvarūpīyaṃ vyākhyāsyāma iti ha smāha bhagavān ātreyaḥ |

Having seen these signs of dying patients, the physician / should not administer treatment, in consideration of the path of his reputation. / Thus said the venerable Ātreya. / Thus ends the fifth chapter in the Indriyasthāna of Bheḷa. / Sixth chapter. Now we shall explain the chapter on premonitory symptoms; thus said the venerable Ātreya.
