6.1.8

śītasyoṣṇāṃ kriyāṃ kuryād vātaśleṣmātmakasya tu | uṣṇasyaikāntapittasya śītāṃ kuryāt kriyāṃ bhiṣak ||

For cold fever, which is of the nature of vāta and kapha, the physician should apply a heating treatment; / for hot fever, which is exclusively pitta, he should apply a cooling treatment.
