kṣīyete balavarṇau ca gātraṃ ca parihīyate | na cāsya svadate bhojyaṃna bhuktaṃ ca vipacyate ||

both strength and complexion waste away, and his body deteriorates; / food does not taste good to him, and what is eaten is not digested;
