viṣyandayanti doṣāṃś ca yāvattiṣṭhanti dehinām | saṃśodhayantyataḥ paścādūrdhvaṃ vā yadi vāpy adhaḥ ||
They liquefy the humors as long as they reside in living beings; / thereafter, they cleanse either upwards or downwards.
