āptāḥ śiṣṭā vibuddhāste teṣāṃ vākyamasaṃśayam /
satyaṃ vakṣyanti te kasmādasatyaṃ nīrajastamāḥ //
they are the authoritative, the cultured, the awakened; their word is without doubt. / They will speak the truth; why would those free from rajas and tamas speak an untruth?
