trayaḥ śothā iti vātapittaśleṣmanimittāḥ, trīṇi kilāsānīti raktatāmraśuklāni, trividhaṃ lohitapittamiti ūrdhvabhāgamadhobhāgamubhayabhāgaṃ ca (6);

The ‘three swellings’ are: caused by vāta, pitta, and kapha. / The ‘three kilāsas’ are: red, copper-colored, and white. / The ‘three types of bleeding disease’ are: upward, downward, and in both directions. (6)
