tasmāt svabhāvo nirdiṣṭastathā mātrādirāśrayaḥ /
tadapekṣyobhayaṃ karma prayojyaṃ siddhimicchatā //
Therefore intrinsic nature has been taught, and likewise dose and other factors as the foundation;
having regard for both, treatment should be applied by one who desires success.
