sahitau svādulavaṇau tadvat kaṭvādibhiḥ pṛthak /
yuktau śeṣaiḥ pṛthagyogaṃ yātaḥ svādūṣaṇau tathā //
Likewise sweet and saline together [combine] with pungent and the rest individually; / sweet and pungent, combined together, enter into combination with the remaining ones individually.
