tasmādrasopadeśena na sarvaṃ dravyāmādiśet /
dṛṣtaṃ tulyarase 'apyevaṃ dravye dravye guṇāntaram //
Therefore, one should not declare every substance merely by the statement of its taste; / for even when the taste is identical, a difference of qualities is observed from substance to substance.
