kaṣāyamadhuraṃ ṭaṅkaṃ vātalaṃ guru śītalam/
kapitthamāmaṃ kaṇṭhaghnaṃ viṣaghnaṃ grāhi vātalam&//

Astringent and sweet, the wood apple (ṭaṅka) increases wind, is heavy and cooling; / unripe kapittha destroys the voice, dispels poison, is bowel-binding, and increases wind.
