atha śamīdhānyavargaḥ--- kaṣāyamadhuro rūkṣaḥ śītaḥ pāke kaṭurlaghuḥ/
&viśadaḥ śleṣmapittaghno mudgaḥ sūpyottamo mataḥ//

Now, the group of pod grains:— Mudga is astringent-sweet, drying, cold, pungent in post-digestive effect, light, / clear, and destroying phlegm and pitta; it is considered the best among pulses.
